After Magatte mentioned AGOA, I did some research. I came across the following site and played around with some features, which brought me to the conclusion: Africa is not manufacturing enough! Why aren't we trading more goods amongst ourselves?!

I was privileged to attend the closing ceremony of the #PanAfGeo Geoscientific Mapping Training that was taking place in Uganda. It was graced by the Minister of Minerals Development and it's satisfying to see how skills are imparted to young Africans. Apart from the knowledge there project supports African integration by bringing young people from various countries to spend a month working together in the field learning mapping of African resources. In our ongoing efforts to facilitate cross-border trade in the SADC region, we've been actively resolving Non-Tariff Barriers (NTBs) and strengthening trade facilitation mechanisms.
🌍 𝐍𝐓𝐁 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧:
Collaborated with stakeholders to address 6 NTBs, successfully resolving 2 cases involving major companies like Nestlé.
🔍 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩:
Convened virtual meetings in July and September 2023, discussing private sector needs and challenges in operationalising trade facilitation structures.
