UVU Africa is proud to announce the project launch of Tech to Titans, an initiative in collaboration with JSE Private Placements and supported by the UK SA Tech Hub, an initiative of the UK Government. Working closely with the UK-SA Tech Hub and the JSE Private Placements, UVU Accelerate formed part of the design team and will now lead implementation of this programme aims to empower 20 high-growth South African tech ventures, preparing them for accelerated scaling on the JSE Private Placements. The JSE Private Placements is a fintech platform connecting private companies seeking finance with qualified and suitable investors.

We recently celebrated this collaboration with a signing ceremony at the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, joined by representatives from the JSE Private Placements team, UK-SA Tech Hub and UVU Accelerate. Recruitment for this programme is currently underway, with selected applicants forming the inaugural cohort in June. Over the next 10 months, UVU Accelerate will provide specialised mentorship, training, and skills development to equip these ventures to meet the requirements of the JSE Private Placements listing process. This strategic intervention aims to increase the number of start-ups becoming investor-ready and enhancing their access to capital, contributing to a thriving tech ecosystem across South Africa.
